The Rookie is a procedural police comedy-drama releasing on the ABC network. The story of John Nathan a rookie in the LAPD appealed to the viewers. This show is created by Alex Hawley and first premiered in 2019 and lasted till May. Right after the release of the last episode of season 2 ABC renewed the show for a season 3. there has been no official announcement about the release date is yet. The show gained much popularity among its audience. There have been 2 seasons of the show. Season 1 got released in October 2018. However, got over in April 2019 and season 2 was renewed.

In the wake of the renewal for season 3 which came along with some bad news for several other ABC shows. Nathan Fillion took to social media to share his reaction to The Rookie returning for s season 3. Nathan Fillion praised the full Rookie team in his reaction to the renewal, and fans are likely feeling the same gratitude thanks to the news that more Rookie is on the way after the season 2 finale twist that saw Fillion’s Nolan framed as a dirty cop by a former friend who betrayed him.
