McMafia season 2 has been confirmed by the BBA with James Norton set to be reprising his role as the son of Russia ex-mob boss Alex Godman. Hit BBA And AMC series McMafia last aired back in 2018 but hasn’t been screens since then. Grantchester actor James Norton plays the son of a Russian drug Kingpin, who takes on his father’s business in a story mirroring Michael Corleone in The Godfather, Season 2 was quickly recommissioned by the BBC.

In this book, Glenny explored organized crime around the world through a series of extensive interviews with people at all levels: from the perpetrators to the victims and the middle man in between the complex hierarchy.

Season 1 ended with Alex brokering a big deal to flood European markets with heroin after impressively pitching his plan. The second run could follow him as he rises through the ranks of mafia bosses in Europe to become a powerful figure in the organized crime world. However, if the Creators want to explore different aspects of the modern face the mafia or look at fresh chapters from Glenny’s book then viewers could get a brand new story.
