Fruits Basket is an incomparable anime that combines fantasy and slice of life altogether. The anime tells a beautiful tale that anyone can relate to even though it is a fantasy. The plot is so emotional that some might shed a tear at the end of each episode. But the creators make it all go with some pleasant moments between Tohru and Kyo.

Tohru is grateful for everything she has but she also worries about the future. She thinks that Sohmas will not able to do anything without her. The season revolves around the light-hearted themes surrounding family and friendship. The summer break gave Tohru and Kyo the opportunity to open up to one another. The future of their relationship not only depends on Akito’s final decision but also on Kyo’s challenge. The adaption was a more faithful translation of the tone of the original manga and promised to adopt the entire story. Since the manga of Fruit Basket is 23 volumes long, a full adaption would by necessity take a few years to complete.

The first 25 episodes season of the new Fruits Basket anime covered the same beginning section of the manga’s story as the 26 episodes 2001 series. In the final moments of season 1 audience was introduced to a character who never appeared in the first anime, Rin, the Horse, she is going to play a more significant role in the season, which will also introduce the other missing zodiac member, Kureno the Rooster. Fruits Basket season 2 will start premiere on Japnese TV on April 6. Funimation is officially confirmed to be releasing a simuldub of the anime, and Crunchyroll is expected to stream the subtitled version as it did with season 1.
