Never Have I Ever is an American coming of age comedy-drama television series starring Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and created by Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher. Netflix’s Never Have I Ever first premiered on Netflix in late April, it premiered on Netflix on April 27, 2020, and the teen comedy already has people talking. the best things about the show are reactions from fans who say they can empathize with its characters.

 ‘Never Have I Ever’ arrived last week, hit the #1 spot on the Netflix 10 list, and is being billed as Netflix’s best teen comedy to date. The show revolves around an Indian American high-school sophomore named Devi, brilliantly played by newcomer Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, who is determined to lose her virginity a few months after the sudden death of her father in this show The lead character, Devi, her two best friends Fabiola and Eleanor, and her half-Japanese crush Paxton Hall-Yoshida, in this show Never Have I Ever’ keeps it human and focuses on Devi’s interactions with her friends, and her love interests realistically and hilariously.

Devi’s trials and tribulations in friendship and love are also the main attractions of this show what teenagers could do and what we adults could have done. How we could secretly hope our crush notice us, Devi has to say to her teachers and parents are not only funny but true. Some of the best scenes in the show are between Devi and her dermatologist mother Nalini, (Poorna Jagannathan) a strong-headed, no-nonsense woman finding it hard to connect with her daughter.

Through Devi and her Mom’s series of fights, we see strong-willed women facing each other. Their relationship is drawn through layered of emotionality that makes their character way more humane.
