It is executive produced by Feldman, Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, and Jessica Elbaum. Netflix is considered to be quite notorious for canceling some of its beloved shows without any reason, which is why the fans were unsure if the show will get renewed or not, but In June 2019, Netflix renewed the series for a second season. At the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards, Applegate received a nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.
